In fact, they say that global warming refers to the rise in global temperatures due mainly to the increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. On the other hand, climate change refers to the increasing changes in the measures of climate over a long period of time \u2013 including precipitation, temperature, and wind patterns.<\/p>\n<p>Following the same line of thought, according to Climate.Gov, global warming\u00a0refers only to the Earth\u2019s rising surface temperature, while\u00a0climate change\u00a0includes warming\u00a0and\u00a0the \u201cside effects\u201d of warming\u2014like melting glaciers, heavier rainstorms, or more frequent drought.
