The human waste, dirt, and debris adds to the rivers and lakes that have drinking water. This contaminates the water and makes it unsafe.<br \/>\nthe people and the government there cannot afford the expensive drills and wells.<br \/>\n. Africa is one of the most water-impoverished regions &#8230; and the lack of clean water claims the lives of 4,900 children every day. Lack of clean water worldwide, but especially in Africa, is a global crisis.
